How you collect payment directly affects your no-show rate and the customer experience. There’s no single right method — only what fits your service type. Here are the options and how to choose between them.
Support Mada and cards
In Saudi Arabia, Mada is the most widespread payment method, followed by cards. Any payment experience that doesn’t support them loses some customers at checkout. Make sure your system shows prices in your local currency and accepts Mada and cards smoothly.
Three collection models
- Pay-on-arrival: the simplest, fine for quick low-risk services, but it doesn’t protect you from no-shows.
- Full prepayment: fully protects you from no-shows, but may reduce demand for some services if the customer is hesitant.
- Deposit: the ideal middle ground — a small redeemable amount up front that raises commitment without the burden.
How to choose?
Tie the decision to no-show risk and service value:
- Quick, cheap service and a regular customer? Pay-on-arrival is enough.
- Long/high-value service or a new customer? A deposit at least.
- Full periods (like chalets)? Deposit or prepayment. See chalet booking.

If your priority is fewer cancellations, start with a deposit and cancellation policy. To offer subscriptions and packages, see pricing packages and memberships. To compare systems that support Mada, see the best booking systems in Saudi Arabia or check Hajzi pricing in your local currency.
Clarity builds trust
Whatever the model, show the price, payment method, and refund policy clearly at booking time. Payment ambiguity is a leading cause of hesitation, and clarity increases booking completion.
